All aboard the
Victorian Party Bus
from Ocean Grove to NYC's
Merchant's House Museum
Saturday, Nov. 5
|
|
"It'll be the coolest thing you'll do all year, my dear!"
|
Here's what you'll enjoy:
- A 19th century style tea party catered by Burbelmaier's of Ocean Grove aboard a luxury bus.
- A guided tour of the Merchant's House Museum in New York, a spectacular furnished 1832 row house mansion.
- Along the way we'll view a film version of the Henry James novel "Washington Square" which some believe was inspired by the tragic love story of Gertrude Tredwell who lived in the Merchant's House throughout the 19th century.
- Victorian costume is encouraged, and the museum is granting us extra time for taking photos of one another in the sumptuous 19th century parlor.
- The Victorian Party Bus is a fundraiser for HSOG. It's being hosted by Kim Brittingham, creator of the "Curiosities of Ocean Grove" video series. She's going to share with you the tale of her very own, honest-to-goodness paranormal experience inside the haunted Merchant's House!
