Palmer Cox Some More Information

After purchasing a couple of Supplements to the Philadelphia Inquirer. One of which is dated Dec. 20th, 1896.  I went looking for more information on the illustrator to find out who is Palmer Cox?  The Supplements are so well done, with such attention to detail.  Just with a cursory search online, a wealth of information was at my fingertips.

This man who lived from April 28, 1840 to July 24, 1924 traveled and lived such a varied life.  This career spanned books and comics and when the books were made into musicals Palmer rose to the occasion and was involved with the costumes and sets.  The Supplements that I have purchased are entitled Jack the Giant, this one is dated Dec. 20th 1896, the other is Cock Robin, this is one is not dated like the other, but states that it was copyrighted in 1896.  Later I am going to scan these into the computer and the idea is to put the covers on the site so you can see the artwork that was done around 20 to 21 years into Palmer's art career.
